Promo Requests

Make Mine Music does not send out promos. If you would like to request a promo copy of a Make Mine Music release, please contact the artist directly via their website. Links to all of the artists can be found on our Links page.

Demo Submissions

We receive regular requests for information about signing to Make Mine Music. Before getting touch with us, it's worth having a look at the following to be sure you know what we are, and are not, about...

(a) Make Mine Music is a collective of musicians rather than a conventional record label. We do not sign bands or other artists.

(b) All of the artists on Make Mine Music pay for their own releases, do all of their own promotion etc. This means that hard work, dedication, a certain amount of stress and many late nights will probably be involved. The way in which we operate means that, at the end of the day, the releases come out exactly as each artist wishes, and s/he receives 100% of any profits from sales. However, if any release does not make into profit, the artist is responsible for clearing any debts.

(c) We do not accept demo submissions. If you would like us to listen to your music, upload some mp3 files to MySpace or elsewhere and let us know they're there. We'll have a listen and if we all like it and think we might be able to work with you, we'll be in touch.

Please do not send us files - they will be deleted.

If you don't hear back from us, don't take it personally. We are all very busy people. If we don't get in touch, you can probably assume that we don't feel your music is what we're after for Make Mine Music. There are plenty of other labels out there... although our suggestion is "do it yourself". It's easier to do now than ever. Before we started the label, we didn't know what we were doing (and still don't, to some extent). But learning as you go along is part of the fun.

Contacting Make Mine Music

To contact us, please send a message via our MySpace page. We do not have a central email address nor a postal address. We used to but it meant that we spent too much time dealing with spam and unwanted mail. Sorry for any inconvenience that this causes. However, we do check our MySpace mail most days.
